2011 garden planning underway

Bed #1 is slated for raspberries. Grapes for red wine will finish out Bed #7, which is all white wine grapes at the moment. Yet more fencing is on the horizon, for across the creek.

Y'all snow bunnies got your plans done and seeds ordered?

  1. Looks like an excellent plan. I'm spending my days trying to figure out the next steps for ours too. Still ordering seeds and just realized I didn't get carrot seeds for spring! Not sure if that's altogether bad as it means I can put in another seed order. :)

Know what's weird? Try finding Coco black beans at any seed company this year. Nobody has them. Did the entire country have a Coco bean failure last year? Could be. I'm going to plant the black beans from Noti that are on my wholesale grain order, and see what I get. Those beans apparently lived through our very poor growing season last year, in Noti yet, so they should be tenacious of life in our climate. Lonni.

  3. Le: Yes, you need something to keep Bugs B happy! :D

Lo: I have saved drought resistant Buckskin bush beans that I was going to just eat because there won't be room for them this year. Y'wanna batch?
