This blog contains 1000 posts. Posting to Blogger with such a large archive has become unwieldy. Also, your blogista, who is sewing a kesa, is not writing much at present. She has ceased adding new posts. Still-active links are here.

A journal, with a chapter for each month of the year, of the author's thoughts during a year of living at Stony Run Farm, a small homestead in Oregon's Willamette Valley. By the author of Starvation Ridge.

This thing is a bit anachronistic by now, as it chronicles life in times now gone by (the late 1990s mostly) -- seasons were more predictable then than now. It's a compendium of some two dozen blog posts from the period, with seasonal and garden/homesteading observations and conjectures concerning things like simplicity and world peace. It shows my concerns about resource depletion and environmental justice, but touches lightly upon climate, if at all.

I think it's worth a read, though of course I am prejudiced.
